Trellix calls on industry to address threat landscape, announces inaugural winners of the Cyber Titan Awards, highlights new product offerings at RSAC® Conference
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- RSAC CONFERENCE – From the security industry’s biggest conference, RSAC 2025, Trellix, the company delivering the future of AI-powered cybersecurity, today announced new research, awards, and product offerings aimed at improving resilience for Trellix customers and the industry at large. Updates include enhancements to the Trellix Security Platform in data security, phishing prevention, and threat intelligence, as well as the release of The CyberThreat Report: April 2025, and recognition of top Information Security leaders.
As RSAC kicked off with programming centered around the theme of “Many Voices, One Community,” Trellix Head of Threat Intelligence John Fokker took the RSAC mainstage to present The Intelligence War: Winning Against Nation-States, outlining the alarming pace nation-state cyber actors are scaling, emboldened by GenAI and a disconnected attack surface, and the need for industry-wide action to curb malicious threats. “Smart cybersecurity and resilience is not a siloed approach; it’s a shared effort. The bad guys are working together, and so should we,” said Vishal Rao, CEO, Trellix. “Our customer-first, community-driven strategy drives us to execute and deliver deep, shared intelligence and integrated AI-powered security customers need for proactive defense against emerging threats. We believe in the collective mission to stay ahead of threat actors and advance cybersecurity for all.”
Threat Intelligence: The Trellix Advanced Research Center maintains one of the industry’s most robust threat intelligence databases in the world, processing more than 8.75TB of data daily and tracking more than 5,300 threat campaigns. Today, the Trellix Advanced Research Center released The CyberThreat Report: April 2025, detailing the threat landscape and finding the overall threat detection volume has risen 45% from Q4 2024 to Q1 2025, along with an increase in more sophisticated and targeted attacks, a broader range of active campaigns, and geographical shifts. Fokker will also present The Dark Side of Innovation: Generative AI in Cybercrime during RSAC on Wednesday, April 30 at 1:15 PM PT.
Empowering CISOs: Trellix revealed the winners of its inaugural Cyber Titan Award, recognizing the Top 10 Global Women Leaders in Information Security. The Trellix-led award program honors the top women leaders worldwide whose innovative approach, expertise, and execution drive cybersecurity best practices across their organizations and deliver impactful contributions to the broader cybersecurity community.
Trellix Security Platform: Designed for architecturally complex environments and to minimize the attack surface for the most regulated industries, the Trellix Security Platform spans a full suite of security controls across endpoint, email, data, network, and security operations as well as third parties. During RSAC, Trellix Wise, Trellix Data Security, Trellix Email Security, Trellix Endpoint Security, Trellix Network Detection and Response (NDR), and Trellix Threat Intelligence solutions were honored with award wins from the 13th annual 2025 Global InfoSec Awards. Trellix also announced the following updates:
- Trellix DLP Endpoint Complete: New data loss prevention capabilities help combat insider threats and enable compliance. Notably, Trellix announced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for Endpoint, preventing accidental and intentional data loss via unstructured content like images and PDFs, as well as new features for enhanced data protection via AirDrop and Clipboard, browsers, communication channels, and AI engines, like ChatGPT.
- Enhanced Insights Platform: Trellix today announced a significant update to Trellix Insights, featuring a redesigned threat landscape landing page providing a real-time, single-view snapshot of the global threat environment. The new release also introduces AI-powered executive reporting, a vast finished intelligence repository, and seamless integration with IVX for direct file detonation. Additionally, the unified threat library offers comprehensive details on malware, threat groups, and tools, empowering users with deep, centralized intelligence for proactive defense and informed decision-making.

The Trellix Phishing Attack Simulator, available via Trellix Email Security, discovers employee susceptibility to phishing attacks and leverages AI, ML, LLMs, automation, and intelligence from the Trellix Advanced Research Center to provide an advanced phishing simulation experience, creating customized simulations based on real-time identified phishing attacks in the organization’s environment. RSAC attendees can learn more about the information and motivation employees need to identify advanced phishing attacks in a session from Dr. Lili Ana, Head of Security Shared Services, Trellix, on Tuesday, April 29, at 1:15 PM PT.
